In resonance with the Minimal exhibition, artist films from the exhibition are screened in the Auditorium during Friday late openings.
The series continues with a session devoted to the films of American artist Richard Serra (1938–2024). Most of his early films, beginning in 1968, feature brief actions: a hand trying to catch falling pieces of lead, two bound hands freeing themselves from a rope, Tina spinning. Later, his work took on a more political dimension, exploring information theory, media, and perception.

In resonance with the exhibition Minimal, the Bourse de Commerce presents Street Dance (1964–2026), a work by American choreographer Lucinda Childs, a major figure in the minimalist movement.
On July 23, 1964, Lucinda Childs created Street Dance, an in situ piece now recognized as a major contribution to American postmodern dance. Street Dance (1964–2026) is a reconstruction of this historic work, adapted to the urban setting of the Bourse de Commerce, at the intersection of the Halles and Louvre districts, directed by the choreographer and performed by Clara Lou Munie and Adam Chado.
Due to the duration of the performance and the stage setup, latecomers will not be admitted into the auditorium.
A ticket for the 10:30 a.m. time slot also includes access to the Minimal exhibition after the performance.

On the occasion of the recreation of Street Dance at the Bourse de Commerce, a work by American choreographer Lucinda Childs, she engages in conversation with curator and art historian Lou Forster about the significance of this piece and its importance in the development of her choreographic practice.

The series continues with a looped screening of the rarely shown Hard Core (1969), an innovative experimental film by American artist Walter De Maria. Filmed in July 1969 in the arid Black Rock Desert, Nevada, the film immerses the viewer in a real-time experience of the landscape.
Program : Hard Core (26:31 min), starting at 7:00PM, looping until 8:45PM

The series concludes with an exceptional screening of Gabriel (1976), the only completed film by American artist Agnes Martin, shown for the first time in Paris. Filmed in New Mexico, it depicts a young boy standing by the sea, walking through a forest, and climbing a mountain; a contemplative and fragmentary study of landscape, vision, and the perception of nature.

In resonance with the exhibition Minimal, the Bourse de Commerce offers a program dedicated to minimalism in music. Through a series of concerts, this program presents iconic and rare pieces of minimalist music, while exploring its rich extra-Western influences and contemporary echoes.
The Bourse de Commerce and the New York label Blank Forms present Earth Horns with Electronic Drone by Japanese artist Yoshi Wada (1943–2021), performed in France for the first time.

On the occasion of the concerts of La Monte Young Chronos Kristalla after The Magic Chord x 4 on January 24th and 25th, the Bourse de Commerce is organizing a discussion and screening dedicated to the founder of minimalist music. The event brings together Jacqueline Caux, director of several films on La Monte Young and his partner Marian Zazeela, with whom she maintained a close collaborative relationship to document their artistic universe, and Joseph Ghosn, journalist and author of La Monte Young: a Biography (Le Mot et le Reste, 2010). This event offers a rare opportunity to explore both the personal trajectory and the sonic work of one of the most influential creators in contemporary music.

3pm: Discussion between Jacqueline Caux and Joseph Ghosn, moderated by Emma Lavigne, General Director of Pinault Collection
3:45pm: Screening of the film La Monte Young – Marian Zazeela by Jacqueline Caux (51 minutes). In English, without subtitles.

In resonance with the exhibition Minimal, the Bourse de Commerce offers a program dedicated to minimalism in music. Through a series of concerts, this program presents iconic and rare pieces of minimalist music, while exploring its rich extra-Western influences and contemporary echoes.
To close the exhibition Minimal, the Bourse de Commerce and the New York label Blank Forms present Chronos Kristalla, based on The Magic Chord x 4, a major composition by La Monte Young – founder and iconic figure of minimalist music – in a never-before-seen version. The work is performed in the museum’s Rotonde by a string octet conducted by Charles Curtis, within a light and visual installation created by Marian Zazeela and Jung Hee Choi.
